Dallas, TX. – Brock Solutions announces the second phase of their baggage reconciliation project with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport set for deployment in May, 2014.The project aimed at improving and streamlining the intra-terminal baggage tracking capabilities of not only the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport but also that of their carrier airlines which include; Emirates, British Airways, Lufthansa AG, AeroMéxico, Avianca Taca, and Qantas, among others.
The initial project began in June, 2013, with the installation of Brock Solutions’ SmartBag Reconciliation software, which automates the airline process of reconciling passengers and checked bags by providing baggage handlers with clear indication of which bags are authorized to be loaded onto an aircraft, based on real-time information. SmartBag software also provides improved visibility of the status of bags across transfer points through inbound processing and provides this track & trace capability throughout the airport.
In the second phase of the project, Brock will be installing their SmartSuite Baggage Operational Data Base functionality which collects necessary information from Dallas/Fort Worth baggage handling systems into a central database which airline and airport staff can access through the Dallas/Fort Worth private network and SmartSuite web client. This will also provide Dallas/ Fort Worth and its airlines with standardized performance metrics and end to end baggage tracking throughout the airport, allowing them to measure baggage performance campus wide.
John Parrish, Vice President of IT at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), will discuss both phases of the deployment of Brock’s SmartSuite Baggage Operational Database (BODB) at DFW, and how the system integrates data from disparate systems into one system for advanced dashboards and reporting at Brock Solutions’ Open House at their Dallas office on March 5th.
